We are a creative production house that combines the principles of performing arts, design thinking and audience inclusion. We strive to produce entertaining experiences that illuminate a sensory experience and always keep the audience at the heart of what we do.
We are the evolution of TBC Theatre that began in 2014 with the coming together of some of Melbourne’s most progressive creatives.

Meet the TBC Creative Team
TBC is a collaboration of many. Below is a small sample of our lead creatives.
Trudi Boatwright
Trudi is an actor, theatre maker and producer with over 20 years experience. Studying acting in the UK, she formed In Company Theatre and produced multiple shows across the UK and Europe including the Off Cut Festival, London’s premiere short play festival.
Upon returning to Australia, she grounded her work in immersive theatre through Underground Cinema before founding TBC Theatre. She also works as a play specialist and experiential designer. She has produced, directed and performed for multiple TBC Productions including Mr Naismiths Secret and RUST. For more information visit www.trudiboatwright.com
Myles Tankle
Describing himself as an actor who dabbles and a proud founding member of TBC Theatre, Myles performed but also contributed as an assistant director, stage combat choreographer, production manager, stage manager, photographer and video editor on many of TBC's productions.
Pivoting into a new career as an organisational change manager during the pandemic - myles has integrated his skills and knowledge developed and honed in TBC theatre while maintaining a ongoing connection to the arts.
Kathryn Tohill
Kathryn has been performing for the past 20 years all over Australia. Recently she has worked with comedy groups Mystery Radio Theatre and is a troupe member for Melbourne's longest-running Impro troupe, The Big Hoo Haa. Kathryn also is an experienced role player and enjoys taking her performance skills to a new environment to explore and engage people with curiosity and creativity.
Kathryn Tohill has been working for the Starlight Children’s Foundation for the past 15 years, beginning as a Captain Starlight at the Royal Children’s Hospital and travelling around Australia and the UK in the role. Kathryn brings her vast experience in Starlight’s programs to her role as manager of the Spark Accelerator. She leads her team in creative collaborations on a wide range of projects with a focus on future technology. Most recently, Kathryn has implemented the team for Starlight’s digital program Planet Starlight, connecting kids to exceptional digital experiences nationally.
Joy Stewart
Joy Stewart is a psychotherapist, playwright, director, and facilitator. As director of Interact Now she designs and delivers workshops using forum theatre, psychodrama, and immersive role play. The focus of much of her work, and her plays Total Claim and Kid’s Stuff, is the interaction between the individual and social conserve.
Joy developed the 3 by Three program which offers primary, secondary, and tertiary students and organisations, frameworks for understanding human interactions and also has a private psychotherapy practice.
Joy believes in the power of theatre to create social change by supporting individuals to develop of generative dialogues. She has degrees is Dramatic Art, Psychology and Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy.
